General Motors Part # 14066235 Clutch Release Fork

I have a New "235" clutch release fork and a
used fork with 340278 stamped on it,and the only
difference between the two that I can find is the
"278" is 1/8" longer. GM lists the part # for the
340278 fork as 14066235. And aftermarket
manufactures like Dorman have one fork with
both GM part #'s listed on the box. This is some
times called the Heavy Duty Fork, because of the
thick material it is made.

Measurements
The "235"fork measures 10 1/2" from bearing
end tip to center of push rod pocket. It has a hole
on the side rail for the return spring and one hole
on the opposite side for a return spring bracket.

Wings & Spring
This is one of the reasons for this fork to be called
heavy duty. The throwout bearing and fork retention
spring is a standard and typical part # 1349163.

Disclaimer:

Factory correct applications are your responsibility. GM made part and part # changes with no rhyme but a reason (no production interruptions at any cost).
Application charts are for replacement parts that were available at the time of parts book printing.
My observations come from the parts I have in my collection or other reliable sources your parts may differ.
If Factory correctness is your goal, do more research, join car clubs,
forums and buy an assembly manual if one is available for your Project Car (you wont be sorry).
This is a fun and interesting part of the hobby!
