Below I compare Original clutch and brake pedals (swing arms) with two
different sets of reproductions I acquired on ebay.
I don't know the
original sellers of these parts, so I identify them by $89 a set (or
cheapo), $99 a piece, and Original. I hope with the pictures and
descriptions you can make an informed choice and know the right
questions to ask your vendors.

Clutch Pedals
Topis from a one owner 1980 Malibu.
Middleis a $99 reproduction.
Bottomis from an $89 reproduction set.
Hanger Ends
$99 repo (middle) and original (right) are the same and utilize a
spacer and two nylon bushings.
Cheapo (left) doesn't have I.D. for
spacer and bushings and simply swings on 7/16" bolt. Not good!
Pedal Ends
Cheapo (left) is just a flat plate. (no big deal it's covered with the pedal pad).
Clutch Rod Holes
Second hole down is where upper clutch push rod attaches. Notice typical wear on original.
Brake Pedals
Top: Original
Middle: $99 Reproduction
Bottom: $89 a set Reproduction
Master Cylinder Attachment
Cheapo (left) has extra long pin to make up for missing bend above upper hole (should work with washers)
$99 a piece repo has a large pin.
Brake Pedal Hanger End
Cheapo is made by welding a piece of pipe into a hole in pedal shaft.
Note:pipe is too small to drill out and use bushings and spacer.
I believe the best way to go, if these were my only choices would be to
buy a $99 reproduction clutch pedal and cut my Original Brake pedal
pad down to size.
